What is Group Connect? Group Connect is a 2 hour event, 5-6 weeks long at The Journey Church. You will be able to connect with a short-term group, made up of people in a similar stage of life. Our lead pastor, Erik, will teach on stage while you are seated around tables hosted by leaders, facilitating conversation and discussion. At the end of Group Connect, you will have the opportunity to either continue as a Gospel Community (GC) or finish up after the 5 weeks Group Connect are completed.

Gospel Communities are small groups that meet weekly in someone’s home for gospel-centered fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.

What Can I Expect? You come to Group Connect to meet others and decide which short term group you would like to be a part of during the 5-6 weeks. When you register to attend Group Connect, we’ll do our best to suggest a few potential groups that match your group preferences, things like stage of life, where you live, kids/no kids, etc. If the logistics and demographic of the group work for you, great! If they don’t work for you, no problem volunteers will help you find a different short term group that works best.

Want To Purchase Dinner? We also provide dinner at Group Connect to make it easier for your family’s busy schedule. Purchasing a meal is optional. We offer adult meals for $5/each and child meals for $3/each. Register and pay via the Group Connect Registration form below. Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:00pm.

Group Connect is a hour and a half event, that is 5-6 weeks long, where you can meet people in a similar stage of life and area of town with the goal of forming a Gospel Community (GC).

Gospel Communities are small groups of people with similar group preferences that meet weekly in someone’s home for gospel-centered fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.

  • Mt. Juliet
  • Lebanon
  • Watertown

The majority of our groups meet in these areas of town, but groups aren’t limited to these areas. If you don’t see your area of town listed, don’t worry we will help you find a community.

We offer something better than childcare! We offer gospel centered curriculum for nursery – 5th grade!
Short-Term Groups offer you the opportunity to explore a topic with a group of people that share a common goal so you can grow together in life-changing ways. Short-Term Groups are like Gospel Communities, but they meet weekly for a short term to explore one topic. Nearly all of our Short term groups begin in a large group format such as Group Connect.

We hope to see you there. Sign-ups will be made available at various seasons at The Journey Church.
