TJC Pathways

TJC Pathways are opportunities to help you self-assess and see where you are in the process of living as a passionate disciple-maker.

Our Mission

The Journey Church exists to show Jesus as so incomparably glorious that to disregard him would be incomprehensibly absurd. This is done by being a gospel centered church that equips people to celebrate the gospel through worship, apply the gospel in community, and extend the gospel in mission.

Our Vision

By 2022, we are asking God for 3,000 baptized, self feeding, disciple making followers of Jesus who are letting the gospel shape every sphere of their lives.

What is a disciple?

A disciple of Jesus is someone who, through faith in Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, has been reconciled to God and is in a joy-filled communion with Him. A passionate disciple puts Jesus at the center of everything, not only trusting Christ for salvation, but aiming to become like Christ in maturation. The goal of a disciple is to become increasingly like Jesus and help others to do the same.

What is gospel culture?

As we are making passionate disciples, this helps create a church culture with the aroma of Christ. A church with a strong gospel culture, in addition to strong gospel doctrine, will experience a powerful move of God. A gospel culture changes how the outsider is received. It changes the kinds of conversations that take place in the lobby. It changes how we go out of our way to meet each other’s needs. It changes how we disagree and engage in conflict. A gospel culture comes alongside of our gospel doctrine and allows us to bear powerful witness.

Gather Weekly in Worship

We ask that you consistently commit to gathering with the TJC family as we declare the gospel through word, song, and serving during Saturday and Sunday services, propelling us to be Gospel culture creators during the week.

Heb. 10:24-25

How ?

Find a Worship Service: Commit to a service on a weekly basis and begin regularly worshiping with the TJC family. Consider making space for others by committing to a Saturday service.

Saturday 4:00 & 5:30pm or Sunday 8:00, 9:30 & 11:00am

Connect through Community and Serving

TJC is made up of Gospel Communities(GCs) — smaller groups of people designed for encouraging, challenging, and caring forone another with the gospel. Furthermore, our weekend gatherings take a lot of volunteers to create an environment where people can connect with others, hear the Word of God, and worship Jesus. From helping guests park and welcoming them as they come in the doors, to teaching our kids about Jesus, we would love for you to be apart of making weekend services a reality.

Adored and RECON are our women’s and men’s ministries, providing more opportunity for connection beyond our Gospel Communities. Young Adults Ministry is our opportunity for ages 18-mid20s.

Lead Others

A Gospel-centered leader orients their entire life and schedule around making disciples. We’d like to challenge you to grow and mature by leading in your everyday circles (spouse, family, work). Even more so, we challenge you to lead other disciples at TJC, whether it’s a ministry serve team or Gospel Community Leader.

Rom. 12:6-8, 1 Pt 4:10

How ?

Lead other Disciples: Continue growing as a passionate disciple-maker in all your circles. Talk to your Gospel Community Leader or someone on the leadership team of TJC to begin a discussion about leading other disciples.
