All the believers were one in heart and soul. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. • ACTS 4:32-34
These are exciting times at TJC and we believe God is up to something amazing. Our desire is to see every person that calls TJC their church home to partner with us and respond faithfully to what we see God doing here.

Check out the reasons behind the We Believe Campaign at TJC and setup your online commitment below!

1. WE BELIEVE GOD IS AT WORK AT TJC AND WE MUST RESPOND FAITHFULLY.

It is rare and unprecedented for a church to experience the growth TJC has experienced in the last several years. This is not the genius of the elders or staff, but the grace of God. However, we as a church must respond by coming alongside Him to faithfully shepherd those who have come and to remove the obstacles that would prevent countless more from finding new life in Christ.

2. WE BELIEVE REACHING FAMILIES WITH THE GOSPEL CHANGES INDIVIDUAL ETERNITIES, FUTURE GENERATIONS, AND OUR COMMUNITY.

The gospel is the power of God to save. This includes people of all ages and backgrounds. We feel especially compelled to invest in the next generation of kids and students to sow the life-changing message of Christ into their lives, and as a result, transform our homes, schools, and community.

3. WE BELIEVE TJC IS UNIQUELY POSITIONED TO MINISTER TO A DIVERSE GROUP OF PEOPLE.

The location of TJC puts us in the heart of the community and provides the opportunity to build a fellowship of differents. United as one in Christ, we desire to be a congregation made  up of old and young, rich and poor, black and white, believer and unbeliever, and everything in between. This kind of God-glorifying diversity is the kind of local church only the gospel can create.

4. WE BELIEVE OUR BEST DAYS ARE AHEAD!

While TJC has experienced amazing things in recent years, we are only scratching the surface. The leadership of TJC believes the work He has for this church to accomplish has only just begun. Together as a body of believers, laboring together to show Jesus as incomparably glorious in Lebanon and beyond, we fully anticipate a future of incredible promise that will be a blessing to our community.

How specifically can you or your family respond to the call? Take a look at the groups discussed below. Find where you think your family fits and pray about how you will respond to the challenge presented to each group. We are asking everyone to make an equal sacrifice, not an equal gift. Be honest as you assess which group you or your family fit, as this will help guide you on how best to respond.

GROUP 1: NOT CURRENTLY TITHING OR GIVING REGULARLY

If this is where you would say you or your family currently are, we want to encourage you to let this church-wide, financial campaign to start you on your journey of faithful and consistent giving/tithing and to experience the joy found in displaying trust and obedience to Christ in this area. There is blessing and joy in obedience.

Prayerfully consider making the move from sporadically giving a portion of what’s left each month and move into faithfully giving a percentage from the beginning. We recognize this isn’t an easy step to take, but we believe God will bless the faith and obedience of His people.

Group 1 Challenge: Pray as a family and ask God to help you commit to an amount of regular giving that would demonstrate your faith and trust in God as provider.

Response: Begin giving regularly the amount God leads you to.

GROUP 2: CURRENTLY TITHING OR REGULARLY GIVING

If you would say this describes the giving of you or your family, first off thanks. Because of your faithful giving to what God is doing at TJC, we have been able to accomplish so much in the past several years. Our challenge for you right now, is to commit to a short term increase in your giving. We are asking you to commit to giving an additional amount per month on top of your regular giving. If we average an increase of $250 per person or family for the next 10 months, we believe this will move us very close to reaching our goals. If you can do more on a regular basis, that would be great. Again remember we are asking for equal sacrifice, not equal gift.

Group 2 Challenge: Please pray about the amount, on top of your current giving, you would be committing to.

Response: For the next 10 months, mark your additional gift to the “We Believe Campaign.”

GROUP 3: CURRENTLY GIVING WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO MORE

This group consists of those who may be in GROUP 1 or GROUP 2, but may be in a position to make a one-time sacrificial gift towards our financial goal. Not everyone can give the same amount, but we are aiming for “equal sacrifice not equal gift.” This group will be lower in number of total people, but may have the ability to push us closer to our goal faster.

Group 3 Challenge: Pray about what a sacrificial gift would look like for you or your family in an ongoing way similar to the challenge in Group 2,  and what a possible one time gift would look like. Would a one time gift of $5,000 or more be a sacrificial gift for you?

Response: Make your one time gift to the “We Believe Campaign.”
