We asked TJC attenders to describe in one word what they’ve found by coming to The Journey Church.  “I Found” is a collection of stories based off of those words.  Over the next 3 weeks be on the look out for our blog series, I Found, featuring some of TJC’s very own. Everyone is seeking Christ to fulfill something in their lives, this Easter invite someone to hear about the potential transformation Christ can have in their lives. Share the link below in hopes someone will experience Jesus as incomparably glorious.

“I Found.. Passion” – Tim Lance

A simple definition of Passion is “a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something”.

When I found TJC, I was drowning in obligation-feeling as if I had to drag others to Jesus with me. I have been reoriented into the freedom in Christ.  I have been reminded to be an obedient servant and God will bring the harvest.

At TJC, hearing and seeing passion from the leadership to share Jesus as incomparably glorious is refreshing. Sharing learnings about Jesus with others who want to hear is reviving. Partnering with other believers who share the same passion to serve is invigorating.  Sharing life burdens with those who genuinely care is up lifting. Someone asking you to pray with them is Holy Spirit stirring. Hanging out with other passionate believers allows all of the above to take place and helps strengthen me for the days ahead.

Since finding TJC, others have seen a change in my life. I am much more open in sharing about church meetings and inviting others to be a part.  I want others to experience the benefits of being a part of a group of believers’ where (as Pastor Erik would say) a big ol’ fuss is made about Jesus.
