If you are interested in serving, we invite you to join us during our next Growth Track class. There you’ll be able to discover your God given gifts and learn how you can serve alongside others in the TJC family. You’ll also have the opportunity to shadow a serving area to make sure you’ve found the perfect area to serve. Our weekend gatherings take a lot of volunteers to create an environment where people can connect with others, hear the Word of God, and worship Jesus. From helping guests park and welcoming them as they come in the doors, to teaching our kids about Jesus, we appreciate you being a part of making weekend services a reality.
Please take a moment to read this prior to serving at TJC. The Journey Church Volunteer Handbook. If you have any questions please email kendria@tjclive.com

Why should you serve?
You have been uniquely gifted to serve.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.-1 Peter 4:10-11
Why do they serve?
“I serve because no matter the mood I’m in happy, tired, grumpy, annoyed, or content my heart is filled with joy as soon as I walk through the door of the toddler room and one of the kids yells my name and want me to play with them or swing them around. It’s a weekly reminder that no matter what a week is like there’s always time to play. I feel as if it’s God way of taking my mind off of all the distractions of the world and just enjoying the moment and the gift of a child’s love. Getting to be with those babies every week helps me realize how easy it is to love, smile, and be happy. The best part is I get to take that joy home with me and continue it with my kids.”Shane Meyers, Kid's Ministry Team

“I serve because if I don’t do it, it might not get done. I’m filling a need.”Earl Bilodeau, Coffee+Communion Prep Team
“I serve because Jesus reveals himself to me more and more when I’m focused on the needs of others and not my own.”Kristen Meyers, Kid’s Ministry Team
“I serve because I love seeing the beautiful smiles on everyones face on Sunday mornings.”Renee Casto, Greeter Team
“I serve because Christ did.”Naomi Stewart, Reset Team
